I am re-discovering a great feature of the Lulu Bookstore. Any updated version uploaded to Lulu is immediately available for your customers, while with Global Distribution one had to wait about eight weeks for the new edition to be sold by Amazon.

My more recent additions have only taken about a week or two to reach Amazon and Barnes&Noble's sites. This has improved dramatically.

If you acquire your customers through your own channels, then the bookshop is certainly a very good thing.
It would be conceivable to have a page about your topic, each with cross-references to the books, a newsletter with cross-references as well, regular updates, etc., etc. |

There seems to be a big difference between printed books and epubs. Many folks have been having serious issues with epub distibution. Print books seem to go through without many problems.
