You can't unretire an account. It's permanent. I can't even log in. But I still can write support. I've contacted them six or seven times. No answer. Books are still up online. BBB might be the best bet.

There is no guarantee that it will be resolved, but often they do; at least they answer there. I may try that. I just looked at the link. They are getting a lot of complaints. Having an active support response instead of auto emails would narrow that some I'm sure.

I just went to that link again. On the BBB page there is a link that let's you email lulu directly. I sent them one from there instead of leaving a bad review. My only complaint really is the bad support. It seems a lot of people are complaining about the bot responses and no phone contact. If I don't get a response soon then I'll leave a review at BBB as it seems to be the only way to get them to respond.

They finally got back to me. Lulu site was retired but not the books online. Said they were taking care of it right away.

I have tried numerous times lately to contact them and they refer me to the knowledge base. Lately, my sales on Amazon and Kindle have dwindled, even though I check Amazon Central every day and know they are selling. Also I have received hundreds of ratings and reviews on Goodread, so who is profiting by this? No Amazon or Kindle sales so far have been reported for July, which is bull. I have thirty-two books published with them, so you would think they would honour me with a human response. Oh for the healthy sales before the transaction. Rant over...

I don’t understand why these problems are still continuing.
It personally doesn’t bother me as I’m not reliant on Lulu sales. It does disappoint me to hear these stories though. I am start to fear for Lulu’s future.
Any new work I undertake is now directly with IngramSpark and I would seriously recommend people to start transferring their old work, it may be a tad expensive but will lead to a better life.

Strange that Lulu actually responded to my post shortly after my comment on here. Their usual banter that sales sometimes take up to six weeks to come through. Rubbish. I know my books are selling on Amazon and Kindle every month, but no July revenue? I'm losing all hope with Lulu.

When I send an e-mail, I can indicate that the recipient's server will tell me when the e-mail has arrived and an acknowledgement of receipt, unless the recipient rejects it. For details, see in the menus of your e-mail-software.
With good old paper based post office, there is both
- the registered letter ("R") and
- track and trace.
- One step higher is the "return receipt for registered letters", the written confirmation of receipt after delivery, which the post office returns to me, signed by the recipient.
Well, there are some possibilities to make some pression and some answers to the question How Do You Know If Lulu Got Your Message? However, this only confirms that the recipient has received the letter. Whether he opens it, whether he reads it and whether he answers it, on the other hand, are three further questions.

In the US if you send a letter Priority Mail, it has tracking which allows you to know when it was delivered to the specified address, and in some cases when it was picked up from the Post Office.
But as Benziger mentioned, whether the addressee opens, reads, and responds is a different matter.
