Thanks Benziger I downloaded the ten tips. Ron is always saying how important book covers are.
"9: You Need a Good Cover Don’t neglect the cover of your book, it’s the most important selling tool you have. Your book cover represents your book to the world. For most authors, this is going to mean that you have to hire someone to create a really good cover for your book. Most authors, after all, aren’t trained graphic artists, and even graphic artists need to have experience to know the best ways to make your book cover like a magnet that pulls readers in."
The best way to think of a book cover is to realize that it is packaging, in exactly the way a box of cereal is or the label on a can of peas. It has to attract the eye from among shelves full of competing products and it has to convey something about the contents...and it has to do these things in the briefest glance.
Ron I bought Skoob and the Jesus Ninja's book because I was attracted by your brilliant cover. I bought it for my Grandchild who is a Christian. They live in California. However before I give her a book I always read it first, usually in eBook form for me and then I buy the print version for her. She is a very devout Christian with a Christian mother and a Budhist father (my son) I accept completely that this is how they have chosen to bring up their daughter. She is a kind, loving, helpful little girl.
