My wife and are are trying for our first time to publish a 46 page photography book on Lulu. We don't have Adobe Acrobat, but we have Photoshop and Apple Pages. All are pages are created as Photoshop PSDs. We then save them as PDFs in Photoshop with the Lulu interior book preset.
We then have loaded the PDF's in Pages, made sure word wrap was off and saved it first as a 46 page pages document and then as a 46 page PDF. We load the pdf into Acrobat Reader and it says it's 46 pages long and all of the pages display properly. We load the PDF in Photoshop and it loads as 46 separate PDFs.
When we upload the book to Lulu it says we have some transparent pages. My wife and are are very familiar with Photoshop, layers and flattening so I doubt it's a layer problem.
Lulu says we have loaded a 46 page document and we're ready to place an order. All of the pages display properly on preview except page 46. There is no page 46. There's a blank page 47 with a question mark on it, but no page 46.
We're replaced page 46 at least three times with great care on flattening and conversion but no luck.
Has anyone seen this and can anyone help? We're at the point of downloading a trial of Adobe Acrobat but I'd like to know that it will fix things first.
Thank you for your help.

Have you tried printing it to a PDF document as opposed to saving it as PDF?
Saving as PDF comes in handy if your trying to create a navigable TOC.
Print to PDF mimics actually printing the document and may be more of what Lulu Press is looking for.

We just tried that. We printed the file as a PDF from Pages and everything is still the same.
We already tried retiring the first version of the book to try it again but no luck. Do you think retiring and then using this PDF will help?
Thank you,

Thank you, Last time I uploaded a revised print file [before the botched upgrade] I had to delete the older version first, doing otherwise would just double the size of the file that would be printed.
Check to see if uploading the new file gave you two print files. If so, delete both then upload your new one.

That's been fixed. Uploading a new file doesn't double the size.

I'd try the file in a new project. If it still doesn't work whatever tech support Lulu Press has will be kinda sorta be available Monday morning.

It could be a PDF specific type problem. Try Saving As (I use Word) PDF with Options > Page Range - All Publish What - Document include non-printing information > select > Document structure tags for accessibility PDF Options > ISO 19005-1 compliant (PDF/A)
But it is a long time since I used a Lulu Wizard, so that may have changed.

Thank you. Pages doesn't give all those PDF save options, but I did turn on Accessibility Options to no avail.

Here is Lulu's response to my my support ticket
" We apologize for any concern caused by the error with the preview tool on the Design step. This issue has been reported to our developers for review so that it can be properly investigated and addressed.
Please note: when an order is placed, the Print-Ready files are the ones sent to the printer to be produced in the physical copy.
If you download and review those files before placing your order and everything looks to be in order and arranged to your satisfaction, you won't need to worry about a page potentially missing from the final product.
Our Print team is also available to assist if any potential concerns with the print quality arise when the package is delivered.
We hope to have this fixed up as soon as possible. "
We did check the Print-Ready files and they looked great. We placed a single copy order just to make sure everything is okay.

Good to hear the issue has been resolved.
When I get around to re-releasing physical prints of my books I'll be doing so through KDP and Ingram Spark. Lulu Press lost my trust.

Check your page numbering even if no page numbers are displayed. Make sure it Continues from Previous. Double-click to open footers, right click and format.
Next, check to see if you have a section break before, after. This causes blank pages if they are set to start on right. That's the gist of it. Can't recall the minute details as I haven't done it in a year or so. But, that usually causes the problem you describe.
