Generally, ordering a book from a Philippine publisher is an ordeal. The worst is that you are extorted a postage fee that is often higher than the price of the book. Recently I had the pleasant surprise to discover that one of them (Vibal Foundation) publishes its books as Amazon PODs. I ordered Inquisición en Filipinas (2022) from Amazon-Spain on Wednesday March 15. It was delivered to my home on Saturday March 18. I found the explanation to this remarkable quickness on the last page - the book was printed for Amazon at Brétigny-sur-Orge, France!

POD is amazing. What will they think of next? Books you can listen to?!

POD is amazing. What will they think of next? Books you can listen to?! If you remember, some years ago, we, Lulu users, were offered to have our books turned into audio-books by an independent company. I checked them with their French readers. They were no good, and one of them was not even a French speaker, but some goof posing as one.
