I actually made a book with KDP using my cover. However being a dual nationality (UK and USA) they ask if I am a US citizen and I tick yes. That's when the problem starts, I don't pay taxes here and for the few years I lived in the States, I didn't have to pay taxes. However I have no idea how to answer the question they ask on the KDP site. Anyway I phoned customer service and got a human. I was so surprised that I nearly dropped the phone. He explained that the tax form is nothing to do with Amazon. I would have to make enquiries with the US tax people. Sigh! I can honestly say that the many, many books I made on Lulu never caused me so many problems once I'd mastered the wizard (making PDF files etc.)

As for Lulu being easier, no way. KDP has an instant tax form that guides you along the way. Try again.
