The new update starts with this: June 30th Update
- The ability for users to delete and/or retire projects from their accounts is now available. Please be aware that deleting projects is permanent - once a project is deleted it cannot be restored. Retired projects will be removed from public access but will still exist in your account. Retiring a published project will remove it from distribution and our bookstore.
When I go to my 'Projects Overview' the three options I see are Add To Cart, Revise or Retire. I don't see a Delete. I did retire one, which seemed to work, but I want to delete a load. Anyone worked out how to do this? All advice greatly welcome.

Delete appears next to Draft projects or incomplete or unpublished (all the same thing). Retire appears next to published projects. I just deleted a Draft to test it. It works.

So we can't actually delete published books?

So we can't actually delete published books? I have a couple of unpublished drafts (quite why I have no idea!) showing but there is still no delete option visible for those.

So we can't actually delete published books? You couldn't before the site change either if the book had an ISBN. Now it appears you can't delete even if it doesn't have an ISBN.
Here is a screenshot of the Delete/Retire buttons.

Thanks Maggie, this is a complete letdown, as I wanted to make sure certain things were deleted, so Lulu couldn't screw it up again. As you know a lot about this, can I ask whether the best way to ensure I can't move a title to Amazon without it suddenly reappearing on Lulu (which might make Amazon curtail my account), is to revise a title on Lulu, including changing the title, and then retire it?

I was happy to see the delete button I deleted 5 attempts and retired 2. I am absolutely FED-UP with this update. Look at this for the exact same PDF text file (A5 size) My attempt at a cover got this. !)Book Size: Your PDF dimensions are 8.264" x 11.694" (209.90mm x 297.04mm)For the book size you selected, the PDF dimensions need to be within 11.998"-12.123" x 8.458"-8.583". (304.74mm-307.91mm x 214.82mm-218.00mm). Please update your PDF dimensions or select a differentbook size.2)Book Size: Your PDF dimensions are 8.264" x 11.694" (209.90mm x 297.04mm)For the book size you selected, the PDF dimensions need to be within 16.869"-16.994" x 11.877"-12.002". (428.46mm-431.64mm x 301.69mm-304.86mm). Please update your PDF dimensions or select adifferent book size.It doesn't make sense.

Larika, clearly your book dimension are too small.
Your size = 8.264, which is smaller than the minimum of 8.458. Your size = 11.694, which is smaller than the minimum of 11.998.
Ditto the second book: Both dimensions are much smaller than the minimums acceptable.
You must make your cover larger.

You cannot change the title once it's been in distribution. Ever. Nor can you ever remove it from Amazon. You can retire it, wait 5 weeks, and then when it shows as Currently Unavailable on Amazon you know that it is no longer available through Lulu.
What you can do (and people will disagree with me, but I believe it is a good idea) is change the cover, change the title, and start a new project. Publish this anew, like it never happened before. Stephen King has done it and traditional publishers have multiple covers for one book.
It's your book. You can do what you want with it.

Hey Everyone, I've had a book removed from Amazon. I had to go through a special Author Central Customer Support department and prove that I am the copyright holder of the title and that I own all rights to the materials. It was a pain and a long process, but I did get it removed. It was an original work that had not been in print/production for more than a decade.

A huge problem if you've published some garbage over the years, not knowing it would be up forever. I'm in shock that it's possible to remove items. Your persistence is lovely.😊

Yes contacting Author Central can help. But be warned it is hit and miss. I've contacted them about linking versions. That worked. I asked for search phrases and key words to be added, a different person answered and said we can't do that. Call Lulu. I asked them to return all of the reviews and ratings I lost when Lulu's mistake got my books taken down. Didn't work. They did though this week add categories to my book and delete another. Someone has placed my book in the Computer case category. They did fix that. I depends usually how answers the email. They are there to support KDP not Lulu so it's worth a shot to try anyway.

The delete function was there about two months ago. Now it's gone again. I've been working all night to fix an error by uploading a new project interior. At the end it keeps using the old one and so keeps getting the error. I downloaded the source file after doing the project and it's always the same original file. Since there is no delete function I can't just delete the interior like the old days. I could have solved my problem in five minutes but now am waiting to hear from support. You know how that goes..The site is not better, it's worse. I can't understand why they can't see that. It works only if everything goes perfect. But it doesn't work that they.
