Goodreads is a site for readers and book recommendations for many years (>13). They claim to be the world’s largest site. On the site, readers can see, books their friends are reading; track the books they are reading, have read, and want to read. Furthermore, they can check out personalized book recommendations following an automated analyse of 20 billion data points... Maybe it has some similarities with LibrarThing.
To get the content for their readers, they offer us the Author program to promote our books: More information about the Goodreads Author Program: www.goodreads.com/author/program
Has any of you already had experience with Goodreads? Giving something away there? Get book reviews?

I put some of mine on there, little happened! I even asked politely of someone who read and reviewed a lot of books, if she would read and review one of mine. She replied "I am not a book reviewer!!!" Gosh. After it was reported that many reviews on Amazon are paid for, to overcome it, Amazon bought Goodreads, in 2013 I think. But apparently, eventually, the fake reviews followed them.
