Can anyone tell me or know when Lulu is going to restore some of our books that are lost from our Projects when they changed their Website? I have clients and friends' whose books are missing and especially my clients are not happy and want to know where their published books are.
Would appreciate an update or response? Much appreciated everyone and please be well and safe.

All I can suggest is that you contact Lulu here. help.lulu.com/s/contactsupport?language=en_US You will get an automatic response saying that they hope what they have sent you has resolved your issue. Reply to this and say that it hasn't. Then wait and wait and wait and you will finally get a proper response to your enquiry which will hopefully resolve your issue with Lulu.

I wonder if someone wants to take over Lulu, has planted a saboteur inside the system, and is waiting for the day when Lulu will be put up for sale.

However, one mustn't forget Hanlon's Razor, which states, "never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity".

The simplest explanation is most likely the right one. I would prefer that Lulu was just being stupid and that there was no malevolence involved.

Yes, indeed - those who still remember Booksurge, and especially those who had books published via Booksurge, will remember that in about 2008 Booksurge was bought by Amazon, turned into Createspace, then morphed gradually into KDP (which was Kindle e-books only at first, but now includes self-publishing software for printed books like Lulu is installing now and what Mybestseller is using). (It's like modern cars - they all look alike - it seems that online selfpublishing is heading towards streamlining). If Amazon were to buy Lulu, they'd assimilate it into KDP. Booksurge did not remain Booksurge, and neither does Createspace still exist, it was gradually absorbed into the Amazon body, and now no-one does even know what Booksurge was (or Createspace for that matter). Signs within Booksurge, that something wasn't as it usually was started in about 2007, with utmost secrecy. The 'news' was sudden, and for some authors quite destructive. Both, Booksurge, and then Createspace, had software that was quite different from today's template format of self-publishing online facilities. I used to be a Booksurge 'agent' of sorts, assisting other self-publishing authors to use Booksurge - it was quite rewarding ... that was taken away when Amazon bought Booksurge ... so, the idea of Amazon buying Lulu bears not thinking about. It goes a long way to explain why I no longer have an Amazon account, or even publish with an ISBN ...

Amazon is strong and getting stronger. However I must admit I do a lot of buying on line. When I was fitter I would try and buy in my area, but now I'm housebound I shop on line, especially Amazon and ebay.

If Amazon would accept Paypal, I would purchase from them ... alas ...
