My daughter, has just returned to England after 3 years teaching in Spain. She, her partner and her dogs are really feeling the cold. My sister's family in Australia is loving their weather out there. I wish I could upload pictures. I suddenly have two dogs. They followed me everywhere today. It's the first time the three-legged one came along. Like a trooper. Uphill, down stairs to the beach. And he played, like a real dog, not one just trying to survive. I even played scare with the little white one. He was funny and knew I was only playing. Quite a beautiful day. I'm happy your daughter is home. You lucky woman. I can only wish.

Thank you so much Maggie. I was so happy and she lives just 5 mins. away. I even wrote her a poem all about our little market town. All the best to you.

An attractive town some 400km south of Peniscola where Glenys and I live, it’s much bigger with a population of 95,000 compared to our 7,500 and is known for its baroque architecture. I’m sure that your daughter is missing it and it’s people. By the way where is your market town, and whereabouts in Greece is Maggie living?

However both Kerryn and her partner love Spain and have bought a flat in Monovar. They have decided not to sell it and will visit Spain in the future maybe even settling there when they retire.

Larika, I guess that they probably know but just in case get them to check the “Brits in Spain” Facebook page to get up to date on the changes to Residencia and Registration happening in 2021 due to Brexit.

My daughter was going to get Residencia as she had a contract, but then she decided to return to England. However I will tell her about "Brits in Spain." Thanks elken.

Market Rasen I guess. I have mixed feelings over Lincolnshire. I spent a brief period of time at Kirton Lindsey which is relatively close, but not the most enjoyable location although I was working nearly 24 hours a day. However in the 1950’s my Aunt and Uncle ran a home for Bad Boys and I enjoyed several holidays there. I have fond memories of exploring the Catherdral and climbing its towers with my 8 year cousin. Uncle occasionally played the organ in the cathedral. ( See I’m not all bad Maggie.)

Until we have that beer in Spain please ignore me.

I was a bit concerned that my daughter would find our slow pace rather boring, as before Spain she lived in London, but so far she likes it. She particularly loves the country walks with her 2 dogs. As she said "Mum I'm nearly 50 now and I prefer a quiet life." I've told her about "Brits in Spain" she's looking into it. Thanks.
