When I try to publish an eBook with a Sigil created ePub using a Lulu assigned ISBN for Global Dist I get an error message that the Title, Subtitle and ISBN in the Copyright page are wrong, even though they are what started with. I have checked the HTML source file for the Copyright page and also the OPF for correctness and they are same that entered for Lulu. If I go back to the first Lulu step and cancel Global Dist and specify Lulu storefront only the process and validation completes successfully.
Has anyone encountered this or similar problem please?
The published book can be seen on Lulu Spotlight.

Look under Tools for Metadata editor in the tabs up top. Enter your information there. Must be exact.
<dc:identifier opf:scheme="ISBN" id="BookId">Put your ISBN here</dc:identifier>

<dc:identifier opf:scheme="ISBN" id="BookId">Put your ISBN here</dc:identifier> It appears that under the EPUB3 spec there can be several instances of the dc:identifier in the OPF one can be for the ISBN and another for the Bookid.

Using EPUB CHECK the error is that UUID does not match the ISBN.
So it begs the question What generates unique ID and secondly how can it be changed?
Would this make a difference? <dc:identifier opf:scheme="UUID" id="BookId">urn:uuid:3e8fa685-a8a3-492e-9fb9-6ba6162a4da7</dc:identifier>

I'll download an epub from Google drive tomorrow and show you. I haven't looked at one in over 6 months.

Remove one and test it. Validate in Sigil then go to an online validator. They will tell you exactly, line by line, where your problems lie.

Reconvert to .doc. upload to Lulu. Let them give you the raw epub. Then work with that. They are now using Calibre and same epub check as everywhere else. Good luck.

Thanks for those. It’s created in HTML not a Doc conversion. Two dc:idents are legal. No problems with Calibre.

Problem resolved. changed the syntax to <dc:identifier opf:scheme="UUID" id="BookId">urn:uuid:3e8fa685-a8a3-492e-9fb9-6ba6162a4da7</dc:identifier>
That left an error pointed to the OPF but the problem was in the NCX with some false pointers.
That left a final error with apparently the Title Subtitle being wrong on the Lulu copyright page. Each time I tried to remove the subtitle Lulu kept replacing it. I removed subtitle from all instances in the ePub, put a false subtitle in Lulu copyright stage and bingo everything validated, but Lulu replaced original subtitle.
Very strange.
But it’s all go now with Global Dist.
Enough, now to cook Christmas Dinner.
