Anyone else suddenly find that several of their books no longer have Global Distribution? All but one of my books was approved for Global Distribution. Now, I check Lulu and the entire line with the globe has disappeared. So I check Barnes & Noble and it shows that several of my books are "Currently Out Of Stock Online." What on earth? I have contacted Lulu and now I guess I'll have to wait 3 weeks for a response. This is ridiculous. How incompetent can a company be? Whoever took over Lulu has really messed it up. I guess they're not in business to make money, just irritate their customers, of which they will soon have none, if they don't get their act together.

This is the same problem I've been having for almost five months now.some of my books are still not online. I've lost hundreds of dollars this past year. My better selling books disappeared from four sites. Support told me twice they'd work on it. Still not done. Then they said I didn't click Global which I know I did. I clicked it and now it's been pending for five days now. One book disappeared for no reason and no message from Lulu. I tried to revise it to get it back out but the wizard is bugged. It keeps converting the old file without letting me upload a new one. I've tried for two weeks now. Told support about but no answer.

People don't realize it's happening because they don't go online and do searches for their books on the sites. They don't realize how much it's costing us. I just checked on Scribd. Four months to add one of my books back. Still missing four more. I believe all of this is caused from the removal of Coresource , the original method of distribution. When they did that they had a message on the site saying your books may disappear for two weeks but will be added back soon. Not two weeks, four months! And why not an email to all customers letting them know this? Not one message from lulu in all of this.

The problem is that it's going at a View Attachment Let's try contacting him directly: @caretakerbob I just replied to a tweet he put out 11 mins ago and asked what is going on with Lulu, explaining the issues.

I sent the twitter message and guess what? I just got a response asking me to contact them directly through the twitter messenger @luludotcom So, I responded with my Global Distribution issue as well as asked about the not being able to delete old, unwanted versions of projects and why the system is duplicating them instead of simply making them available for sale from private. I have kept my books in private until after I approve the galley copies. Then, I make them available for sale on Lulu as well as Globally. The system turns that into a new version. There's no need in that. So, if you have questions about Lulu, my suggestion is to message them directly through their twitter account.

Just received this b.s. directly from Lulu: "Hello! We're sorry to hear about this trouble you've been experiencing with distribution. We recently had to remove saddle stitch books from our distribution program, as our retail partners stopped accepting them unfortunately. We sent out an email to let any authors with saddle stitch books in distribution about this in late February, but I do apologize if you did not receive this email. Please let us know if you have any additional questions."
This means I only have 1 hardcover book that is available for Global Distribution! I can't believe Amazon no longer accepts saddle stitch books, or Barnes & Noble, for that matter! SO beyond pissed right now! All my hard work just tossed out like rubbish!

I suppose they are all saving money by removing stapling machines from the production process.
Irritating as it is, is it possible to revise your books and change the binding to Perfect Bound? I'm assuming the PDFs (cover & interior) wouldn't need changing.

I'm assuming the PDFs (cover & interior) wouldn't need changing. Lulu only offers me two choices for 5 of my books: saddle stitch or hard cover. 1 of them they offered only hard cover. So, no more global distribution. My books will sit on their useless bookstore and garner no attention. I had my first 2 books on their previous website, before they screwed it all up, and they sat for 15 years unnoticed. No matter how much promoting I did. Why? Because NO ONE goes to Lulu's ridiculous little website to purchase books. They go to Amazon or B&N. I give up.
