I was just informed via email that Lulu has not been denied the ability to sell saddle stitch books on Barnes & Noble, by Barnes & Noble. Their exact email quote is: "If Lulu makes the titles available to us through Lightning Source, the print on demand division of Ingram Content Group, they can become available to our customers on bn.com and by special order in the stores."
Email answer to my query:
Publisher Author Inquiry <publisherauthorinquiry@bn.com> Mon 3/15/2021 2:20 PM If Lulu makes the titles available to us through Lightning Source, the print on demand division of Ingram Content Group, they can become available to our customers on bn.com and by special order in the stores.

I'm wondering if Lulu removing Ingram's CoreSource as a distribution avenue has anything to do with Lulu removing that option?

I'm wondering if Lulu removing Ingram's CoreSource as a distribution avenue has anything to do with Lulu removing that option? I have no idea. Your guess is a good one. It's just ridiculous. Now, I have no idea how Lightening Source works or if it costs anything. I've looked at their website, but it doesn't give specific answers. Just describes how it works. It seems to suggest it may cost to publish through them. I guess the only way to know for certain is to sign up, but I don't want to sign up until I know for sure. So, slight dilemma. I will Google for information.

Here is a video by Derek Murphy a best selling author. He tells about Lightning Source. Sounds expensive and picky. youtu.be/FzfDuYuzxck

Ingram Book Company, the parent company of Lightning Source, launched 2013 their author-centric platform IngramSpark for print on demand publishing and print and ebook distribution. Lightning Source is a business-to-business operation, and its clients are all book publishers — not authors.

Thank you JesusNinja & Benziger for the information. Very kind of you both. I will continue to stew on my situation.
