Many years ago when I started with LULU I purchased a batch of 10 ISBN numbers which I have been using. Does anyone know if I own these ISBN's or are they owned by LULU?

If you purchased ISBNs, then you should own them as they are registered to the entity [as in person or company] which bought them.

Where are you? In what country?

If Amazon or a similar place says "Lulu" as the publisher, then the ISBN belong to Lulu. But if your name is there, they are yours.

Thanks for the help. Amazon listing shows my business name as publisher so I obviously own the ISBN numbers

From another post you stated you are in the UK. So you will have purchased them from the ISBN Agency. You would originally had a document listing the numbers. You can check your account with them online.

I asked about my ISBN ownership at the FB Lulu page and got the answer that I own the ISBN numbers.

Re ISBNs, if there are any Canadians reading this thread, please note that ISBN numbers are free to Canadian publishers and can be obtained from ISBN Canada Library and Archives Canada. As a Canadian publisher do not purchase ISBNS through Lulu or otherwise only through ISBN Canada.

In France (and the countries in sub Saharan Africa covered by the French ISBN agency) it is similar: ISBN are free - but there is a small initial fee to open the account. They ask a SIREN number or something like that. If you live in France, you will know that.
