In case you missed it or was not aware of this addition. I think it's great if you publish under a brand and want the spotlight to reflect this. Just tried it out. It's working. Just changed the name after "spotlight" to eightwindsbooks and hit save.
Meta Descriptions - We've always used the Author Spotlight descriptions to display Meta Descriptions on search engine pages, but now we have added the ability for you to control your own Meta Descriptions. Vanity Spotlight URL - Customize your Spotlight URL to match your brand. With our new feature, you can update the URL to your Spotlight page. (https://lulu.com/spotlight/your-brand)

For the moment, I don't have the courage to re-do the spotlight of my 37 public titles. I wish Lulu fed my old files in the new spotlight.

OK, I created a Lulu Author Spotlight.
Then I went to the Lulu website to find it. I did a search with their magnifying glass. Then I did a search with the magnifying glass on their Bookstore page. All I got was a list of my books published there.
There is STILL no indication on their website that any "Spotlights" exist.
I maintain that from a casual shopper's perspective, they do not exist.

By the way, I created the silly thing and even I cannot find it on their site. I still have no idea what it looks like. I challenge you all to find it and point me to it.
Useless...

HAHA! Very good, ElKen! Thank you! When I did my search using www.lulu.com/spotlight/... I capitalized the B, G, A, and P, which was the way I entered it in the form. I get a 404 error that way. No caps allowed, I guess. Now, how would a random shopper browsing the Lulu bookstore know to look for a Spotlight? There is no link nor indication such things even exist. Clicking on the author's name just returns a list of books.

Now, how would a random shopper browsing the Lulu bookstore know to look for a Spotlight? There is no link nor indication such things even exist. Clicking on the author's name just returns a list of books. Not quite right. 1. Search Author Name 2. Select a book 3. Scroll down reading all about the book 4. Scroll down further to read all about the author and then voila 5. Select Go to author's page So perhaps it’s not as difficult as other have made out in recent times. It took me only a couple of minutes to get there from your original question.

AHH! Look at that! Too bloody obvious for me I guess. Thank you, ElKen. I must seem pretty dim. Sheesh! OK, Lulu. All forgiven.

The link to your Lulu Press spotlight would typically be used on your website, kind of a shortcut to all your work there.

My website has much more information regarding my products than Lulu's spotlight, so it sort of works backwards in my case. Ah well, to each his own. I'm glad Lulu has provided that spotlight service for their authors. Any increase in exposure of Indy Authors is a good thing from any perspective!
