A decade ago, I edited the travel accounts of a gay European in Central Europe as a private book that was distributed among a small circle of acquaintances.
Three of his accounts relate his summer holidays in Bulgaria and Romania during the Cold War (1947-1991). The text is full of obscenities, but it now appears that many observations are precious in that they describe life under communism, differently from what leftist authors did. Romania in particular sent shivers down my spine.
I therefore decided to make my edition of the book public in the adult LGBT category under the title A Yag's Diaries.
So far so good. Now I only knew the author by his nickname: Gingerbread. When he gave me his writings at the turn of the 21st century, he was quite old, and wished I published it in printed form. At that time POD didn't exist yet. When I discovered it, among the many projects in abeyance, were Gingerbread's diaries, which I turned into a private edition in 2013.
Yesterday, I started the public version of A Yag's Diaries. It all went well until I reached the last stage, when the robot asked me to go back to all the previous stages and revise and complete them.
I entered myself as the editor and the copyright owner, while Gingerbread is entered as the author. The problem is that "Gingerbread" is not a full name. I am not a hundred percent sure the problem is at this level because I have complied with all the other requirements, but it could be.
So I placed a ticket, asking why my project was blocked.
