Hi Guys, I hope this is the right place to post this...
I'm involved in a project where we want to create and sell printed journals and have been struggling to integrate our Wordpress shop with Lulu's API.
I'm a graphic designer and my partner works in SEO so we can't do it ourselves. We have hired an affordable Dev through Upwork first who failed to deliver a functional solution and other offers from Developers from various countries are a lot more expensive (several thousand dollars).
Since i'm not an expert on the matter it is very hard to understand if these prices are justified or not, that's why I was hoping to find someone here who went through the process and can recommend someone or found a different solution (we are aware of the Lulu + Shopify plugin but as far as we understand it still requires to manually put in a lot of info)
Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Hello journable and welcome to the forum! Yes, in principle you are in the right place. I myself have no experience with the API, nor with xPress. I think that among our 150 members there is certainly someone who uses it and can help you.
For xpress-shopyfy is a guide as PDF available. For the API is a pdf guide as well and are some technical docs available.

Following the source code, at least the first one is made with WordPress. Maybe you contact them to get further information, how they did it? (and tell us later)

There are other POD companies who provide API linked services. Have a look at www.printondemand-worldwide.com who by the way are one of Lulu’s major printers. Most APIs have the same technology and complexity though, Lulu’s was no more difficult than others but it is many years since I used it. As for cost I wouldn’t expect it to be insignificant if paying a third party for a project. You said other developers wanted thousands of dollars. So what is your budget.

Hi journable! I have been working on a wordpress plugin that integrates Wordpress/WooCommerce stores with the Lulu API. It's still in it's infancy (lacking configuration options) and not publicly available but a good friend of mine has been using it on his wordpress site for a couple of months without issues. if you'd like to try it out or have a chat about what it would take to work something out for yourself feel free to reach out. I'd eventually like to offer the plugin for sale so I am happy with any feedback I can get on what's currently there and what's needed by other individuals. Cheers, Brett brett@peacefuldev.com
