Yes, @ken, that's a great overview (and probably saves the support team many a query). But you don't need that from Lulu if IngramSpark already offers it ;-)

On the same site (#filecreation) is also the cover generator that I use. I use it to create a PDF in which everything is correct (size, thickness, margins) and the ISBN with code is already on it. I then import it into GIMP and put my images and texts on top of it as layers. When it's finished, I export it again as a PDF and I have the technically perfect template that every system accepts the first time.

I’ve just used the Cover Generator with InDesign and found it excellent as I didn’t have to spend any time calculating the dimensions myself.
