Hi all. I'm hoping someone on the forum can help me with this, as I'm a little confused. I'm publishing a project in 72 page 8.5x11 inch sized magazine on Lulu. I see that you can only publish a magazine in paperback format, but that this option as a magazine allows you to print on the outside and the inside of the cover. That's fine, but what I'm confused about is I know for the outside cover I have to supply it as an all in one PDF. But for the inside of the cover, which pages of my magazine will these be (will they be pages 2 and 71 or otherwise)? And does the file for the inside have to be a PDF too? Or is page 2 and 71 remain part of the overall file for the inside contents of your magazine? I'm confused.

Is there perhaps an option for two cover PDFs?

Beats Me.
I tried to knock one up, but couldn't see a solution.
Same with Comic format.

Found It Special Instructions for Comic Book and Magazine Covers
If you’re creating a Comic Book or Magazine, you have the option to print on the inside front and back cover! To use this option, you must upload a PDF with 2 pages (please ignore the inaccurate Requirements in the image above).
We recommend downloading the template provided for a Comic Book or Magazine to see the layout requirements for this unique cover design.
There are two templates available. One is for the front and rear covers, A second is for the front and rear interiors.
A word of caution. Don’t use the templates from the general template download area. Wait until you’re creating the magazine and then after uploading the body of the magazine select download template at the Cover stage and modify that as you require.

Thanks all for your input. I finally figured out how LULU wants the cover PDF after much experimenting and to-ing and fro-ing with my cover designer.
If you publish a magazine with LULU, and now that they can print on both sides of the cover, what they want you to upload for the cover is a double sided cover PDF. Based on lets say a 72 page magazine. Your front cover will be pages 1 & 72, while the inside cover is pages 2 & 71. You'll combine this into one double-sided PDF file which you'll upload at the point of the cover design step. Then for the file that will make up the interior of the magazine, you'll want to upload a single PDF containing pages 3-70. As opposed to a book, you have to remember that magazine printing is done in bundles of 4 (because when the page is folded in half, and combined together, you'll get the pages in correct numerical order.)
Hope this makes sense. When I finally figured it out, it was one of those lightbulb going off/ah ha moments. LOL.

Absolutely correct.
The clever, or tricky, bit is the double cover pdf.
After that it’s straightforward.
Took me two or three hours yesterday experimenting to work it all out.
The info is there but it’s well hidden. I wasn’t surprised to see that Support didn’t know the answer.
