I am trying to upload the interior of the story I want to print but no matter what I try correcting, it keeps giving me this error. It says nothing else about the layers, embedded text, or anything else- just simply that it cannot upload the PDF. The sizes are all correct and it’s all text, no images. If I upload a different story, it works. I am using pages on a Mac and exporting it to PDF.
Can anyone lend me a hand with this? What are the steps I need to do in order for this to upload?

Reprint that PDF using a different setting. PDFx1a should do the trick. Download a trial version of Adobe Pro. You can also embed fonts in Word, then print PDF with ISO setting checked. It sounds complicated, but it's not. Perhaps Blue can clarify. I have a super cold.

The thing that confuses me is that if I copy/paste the entirety of the story (Story B) that DOES upload over the Pages document of the story I'm trying to upload (Story B), that gives me the "There was an error uploading the file. Please try again" error as well. (But if I try vice versa, they both give the error.) I was thinking maybe it was a problem with Pages itself, but other PDFs I'd edited on Pages went through. Could it be the size of the story is too much? It's 2,609,809 bytes, but only 753 pages. Even when I cut that down, same error persists. (I'm sorry to hear about the cold- please feel better and thanks for answering despite being sick!)

And if the file is too big you will need to upload via FTP. They used to have that option readily available. Write to Support, if you can't find it, after you've tried everything else.

Maggie has a point. Page count needs to be evenly divisible by 4, which 753 isn't [753 / 4 = 188.25]. Add three blank pages at the end [756 / 4 = 189] and see how that works.
