Hello Maggie. Thanks for your welcome, although I only discovered it today. To enter the new version of Lulu I had to create a new password. So many things are still missing, it's obvious, in its present state, Lulu's new portal is provisional. I wanted to put a book on hold (option "direct") because I am modifying some passages, but I couldn't change its status that is currently "general". Let's be patient. Their task at Lulu's must be tremendous. Do you think the forum will be relaunched?

When people panic they need to talk it through with peers. Glad you're here.

I don't think there will be a forum under the umbrella of Lulu.com again. You bled the old forum first (technical problems were not fixed), then frozen it (read only). That was the reason for this spin-off.
And now with the new website, the frozen forum has disappeared. There were also comments from Lulu staff that Lulu does not consider forums to be an essential communication channel.

And now with the new website, the frozen forum has disappeared. There were also comments from Lulu staff that Lulu does not consider forums to be an essential communication channel. Quite some time ago I noticed Lulu was slowly changing. I seem to recall it was from the time when a new marketing manager was taken on. More and more enthesis was put on guiding users towards using Lulu's paid for services. To the point now where there's a link to them on almost every page. So, it's not in Lulu's best interests to have a forum full of free help and advice towards DIY, even if we were only helping people to clarify what it said on the Knowledge Base pages.
The remarkably massive Amazon (KDP) don't see the problem with a forum. www.kdpcommunity.com/s/?language=en_US
