I ordered electrolytes a few minutes ago. Thank you for the tip.
What does this have to do with books? Books are knowledge and the sharing of it, besides being entertaining.
Glad we have a place where we can share knowledge and be entertained. 😊

Not a problem.
Three books I have are "Emergency War Surgery", "Special Operation Forces Medical Handbook", and "Tactical Combat Casualty Care and Wound Treatment", because the terrain we hike over with the kids could result in some nasty injuries [and has for some people]. It helps to have an idea how to take care of potential issues.

The locals here pick leaves/herbs/grass off the earth. They also fish.

There are pocket guides to edible plants / herbs sold in the local grocery store in town, as well as guides to reptiles [venomous or not]. Some wild plants / herbs can sustain you, while some can kill you. Same holds true for animals.
The people who were working on our HVAC and the guy who got our solar system producing again are used to working in town, so they wondered about rattlesnakes without considering mountain lions, peccary [a.k.a. javelina], or wild hogs. No rattlesnakes due to the cat colony and opossums, but peccary and wild hogs up near the back porch as well as hearing mountain lions at night [though they do move around in the day as well]. Depending upon the situation deer [which cross our property as well] can also mess a person up.
The best survival skill to have is situational awareness, as in being aware of what's around as well as what might be in the area.

Yes, situational awareness. The look in a person's eyes when they want to do harm. I floated my way across the ocean, felt like I was being carried, and now I'm scared of touring Europe haha but I'm doing it anyway.
