Some medical personnel have been similarly resistant.
Considering the contracts many law enforcement and firefighters [as well as medical personnel] work under in the US, their employers can generally require vaccination for infectious disease as a condition for continued employment; but they don't wanna get it if they're being told to get it.

I've been mulling over your earlier statement about The Washington Post article, seriously thinking about it, then I come across some information that the FDA refuses to let any of their 17000 employees to participate in innoculation. It was told to me that they held a public conference. I have yet to confirm this.

Government in the US has three branches, Administrative, Legislative, and Judicial. Biden's EO [Executive Order] regarding vaccination for COVID-19 covers the Administrative branch as well as companies with over 100 employees. Meaning the FDA [which is part of the Administrative branch] can't opt out on the order.
