Amazon pushes and promotes the items it wants. They display your books only if they want even if they're distributed there. So it's not "Let the best man win". They do not use a fair algorithm. I don't understand the title of this thread.
The "A9" algorithm makes perfect sense as far as "the best man man wins". He who markets effectively wins sales.

He who markets effectively wins sales. Ok, it's managed capitalism. A benefit for Amazon not each man for himself. I don't know if companies like Etsy do this. All I know is Lulu sales have always been higher than KDP. Ingram Spark sales as well. I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with KDP Amazon. |

Your link to the interesting article described the keys everyone is free to use to maximize results on their engine, right? Keywords, metadata, product titles, images... I know JesusNinja was very good at manipulating those features and did very well on Amazon. I never had the time to learn much about it and marketing is not my forte, obviously.  Anyway, I thought it was an interesting article. Thank you! |
