I like the books from Kees de Kort, a Dutch artist best known for his illustrations of Bible scenes for children's books. The images are simple but very expressive.
But for me, Christmas looks always as in Felix Hoffmanns book:
The reason, why I write this here, is a third book. Just an announcement, not a promotion - as I do not own the rights for the pictures at the moment, I printed only one item for a little boy who comes from the same places as shown in the book. That means: I truly regret, but this book is not available at the moment. The biblical figures are often depicted in a very northern European way, even though they came from the eastern Mediterranean. That's why I think our images are quite off for a geographically different audience. Here, people from Cameroon have painted the story exactly in their environment: people, landscape, houses, angels, just like you see on every street corner in North Cameroon. A bit unusual for us, but a clear message for Africans: Jesus came for us (too).

I love How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and how his heart grew and grew. A Christmas Carol also had a huge impact. Which one is your favourite of all time, and why?
