Oh, Maggie, I forgot to tell you that we make Greek Christmas sponge cake. I don't know if they're really Greek, but we call them Corinthians. In fact they are Milanese (typical Swiss sponge cake) with dried grapes.
125 g soft butter 100 g sugar 0.5 pinch of salt 2 eggs (set 1 yolk aside) 0.5 grate lemon peel 250 g flour dried grapes as much as you like mix everything well, knead leave in the fridge for >2 hours 1cm thick, cut out shapes brush with 1 egg yolk, possibly diluted with a little milk Bake in the middle of the oven at 200°C for approx. 10-12 min.

Oh, I've had those. I'm still discovering the Greek desserts and dishes. Right now I'm stuck on galaktobouriko. So delicious.
