Since we have been talking a lot about book covers lately and I just finished one this morning, I thought I'd share it. It was for a friend of mine who has been self-publishing for something like 20 years or more (he started off as a small independent traditional press, publishing books by several authors, but shut that down a long time ago). This book, as well as a previous one, was co-authored with his son.

Using the computer to just colour in my scanned drawings is difficult enough, but seeing your cover makes me realise even more how skilled you are Ron. Very good cover.

Ron, it's striking. How did you select the colouring? Process or instinct?

Ron, it's striking. How did you select the colouring? Process or instinct? Just what seemed right.
