They want to buy out small publishers worldwide. That, in my opinion, is dangerous. A superpowerhouse controlling what gets published. Creepy. One world gov, then one world publishing. Let us be concerned. Very concerned.

Many publishing houses are already owned by one single company. Random House is one of those already huge companies en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penguin_Random_House Often a Copyright page will say Imprint. Here's another en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HarperCollins#ImprintsOften such buyouts or mergers are blocked under the anti-monopoly rules, but I don't see how it applies here. It's not always a bad thing. Mergers etc., can mean resources can be pooled, making things cheaper, or in most cases, making more profit. But it can be a bad thing when commissioning editors are forced to follow certain policies which can restrict what gets published, or not. Although as Self-Publishers, how does it affect us?
