Is there any collective experience with this company? They appear to offer a good marketing service for those who shy from social media. I understand that they will republish books with a new ISBN then market them for about a 20% piece of the royalties.

I read some of the reviews on Trust pilot where they have a 2.9 on 5. www.trustpilot.com/review/youronlinepublicist.com

There are 39 reviews, either 5-star [with one 4-star] and the rest 1-star. www.trustpilot.com/review/youronlinepublicist.comGranted reviews need to be taken with a grain of salt, but one would expect a bit more spread on the ratings. Normally you'd expect some 2-star / 3-star along with more 4-star ratings rather than it's either love or hate the business with virtually no in-between. It appears to be a variant of the old Lulu Press model with a variety of services offered. BBB has also dealt with some complaints. www.bbb.org/us/fl/miami/profile/publishers/your-online-publicist-0633-90413382Due to the gushing good reviews versus the similarities in the bad reviews I'd be a bit leery.

There's a lot on that site to digest, but read this carefully > youronlinepublicist.com/about-us/ Read between the lines. Then wipe the butter off yourself. I would also be very wary of a company you have to ring up to find out prices, they will never let you go once they have your number. They are not going to do any one of those services for just 20% of royalties, when most books do not sell many, there are bound to be many charges, that they do not want you to know until you have spoken to a sales person. And those Trustpilot reviews are worrying. And Trustpilot do have a good record at spotting suspect reviews. One of the services YOP offer are Paid Reviews (obviously not on Trustpilot!) They are sure to be honest I am sure ...

Fascinating, Captain. (One eyebrow raised.)
I received a phone call out of the blue yesterday from one of their non-English native language sales people. I have no idea where they got my number from, but they were very interested in publishing / publicizing one of my smaller books. We chatted amiably for perhaps 40 minutes. It was a very attractive offer.
I said, "Not now, thanks. Maybe later," several times. This person was not interested in hanging up the phone, so I did.
I was just curious if anyone had engaged these guys. Maybe I'll be a guinea pig with one little book at some point, but for now, I just don't have the time nor inclination to deal with it.

Almost went with Author House back in the day, but their approach was similar - sales-pitchy. I also felt weird about paying to have my book published. Then I found lulu, which I was afraid to visit, thinking it might be a porn site. After about four months of staring at the "Publish for Free" link I took the plunge, and what a joy.

Having read the various complaints, I'd say it's better to avoid them but that's me. What should be greater reason to pause and say WTF is the fact they called you and you have no clue how they got your number.
