Anyone else having this problem when they try to log in to Lulu? It gives me a “terms.ftl page is missing” error. Iv tried resetting my password and the link in the email gives the exact same error. Why is this happening???

I have tried using Chrome, Firefox, and even Edge all with the same error message. I am using Windows 10 if that helps?

The message indicates something is missing when you're trying to logon. I did a query on what does “terms.ftl page is missing” mean. freemarker.apache.org/docs/dgui_quickstart_template.htmlTry restarting your computer then trying to logon to Lulu Press again, and if you still get the error, contact Lulu Press.

It may need to plant a cookie. That's how passwords etc are stored.

Actually website passwords tend to be stored [as a computed hash function of the password input] in a database of the particular website. Archaic websites would have passwords stored as plaintext. The difference between hash function and plaintext is it's easy to compute a hash value from input received but difficult to reverse engineer, while plaintext is easy to read. www.quora.com/How-do-websites-store-passwords-and-usernamesCookies can store a password if the user doesn't logout at the end of a session, but if the user's computer gets hacked then it's relatively easy for the hacker to get into the user's online accounts. There are also different types of cookies. www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/us/security/definition/cookiesOP needs to contact Lulu Press to figure out what the problem is because “terms.ftl page is missing” indicates something is wrong with a template associated with the user's session, and as far as I know none of us work for Lulu Press.

Indeed, but I often use auto-login, so that is stored on my PC. If I disallow cookies on such sites I cannot log in! There's a lot of 'Legitimate Usage' cookies, whatever they consider as such, but often if you Reject All some sites refuse to work. It's ridiculous that even such sites that seem very amateurish wish to plant many cookies. I suspect it's the site's host that wants to do that. It's almost as if all that sites and the internet exists for is to plant cookies. And no, I don't work for Lulu
