Which formats are no longer offered has been known for some time (and no, none of my books is affected). However, I would like to make two basic considerations:
1) Lulu is the service provider of the authors or the publishers. Even though these deprecated formats are not in great demand, I cannot understand why the books are being taken out of the range. No longer offered for new projects, that Lulu didn't have to program the new software that way anymore, OK. No longer printed in all corners of the world, perhaps only in one printing house with correspondingly longer delivery times, OK. But just gone, although books are still printed and bound - I can't quite understand it.
2) Again and again something disappears. Once it was the CD, then this, now three formats. As a business partner of Lulu, I would be interested to know which new formats are offered with the new software. In the suggestion system there are a whole range of suggestions. In the best case scenario, they will then "examine" them. And that's it. Of course I have two wish formats. But it's only secondarily about the. In bookshops I see many books in landscape or square format. In these forms, Lulu's range is extremely small, and even smaller now with two less.

Question tu Lulu: Did you encrease the prices? I startet the revision of project ID 124rjgp9 with print costs 6.36 (on the account site - "old" price"). During revision it shows me print costs of 9.58, that's about +50%. What happens?
Here's what I can think of: The format is still there, but only a more expensive type of binding.
A children's book with 24 pages for 12.00-15.00 for sale is a fair price. 20.00-25.00 will be quite expensive then. And does a children's book have to be produced in the most elaborate technique?

INGRAMSPARK2020 is the new promo code. Free setup. Check to see what the price will be for your book. If the price is indeed 20-25 dollars at lulu, you are pricing yourself out of market.
