The search function in the Bookstore on the new Lulu Site is cute in that one may do an elimination search, but there is a fundamental loss of utility: One can no longer search by title or by author, etc. There is only "Browse by Category", which is basically useless for anything other than "browsing".
This needs to be rectified.

Edit: I stand corrected! Why didn't I see it? Did it show up today or am I just blind? There is a little "magnifying glass" icon at the top right of the main page as well as the bookstore page. Click it and it opens a search window. YAY!

A search function that only allows browsing by category isn't a search function, it's more of an inefficient browser.

Pretty much any web-based retailer has a search function - even a dealer in surplus goods.
Amazon, Barnes&Noble - what bookseller has no feature to search for a known product?
Very odd...

Yes I saw the magnifying glass, but it wasn't there earlier when I searched

Addition of the word, "SEARCH" might help for we non-smartphone types.

The strange thing is, when I use that search with my book title it displays several 'possibilities' from explicit to children's books. My book shows as forth or fifth choice, sometimes it doesn't show at all. What the what.

Obviously a lot of clean up work left to be done after the data migration.

The new site should have been perfected and everything migrated before it's launch. There are a lot of people on Facebook that are leaving Lulu for other outlets. Lulu fubar'd this time. Shame. They should have left it alone and just perfected the cover wizard. It's strange Paul or others aren't here telling it's going to be fine. Is that a bad sign?

Still no change with me. The only way I can access Lulu is to do a password change every day. I've now given up after waiting five days for a reply from the admins. Just before this change, I made two of my books free, which has not happened on Amazon etc... I published a book around three weeks ago and recieved three proof copies which I approved. Today, at last it has been made available. No sign of the ebook yet. My sales revenue has shrunk unbelievably these last few months and I'm now wondering if it's down to Lulu's incompetence. Sales from other outlets do not tally wih Lulu's sales report. Anyway, normally mild-mannered, I have been with Lulu for a number of years and have published thirty-two books. I'm tired of waiting for a response. Sort it out, Lulu.

Funny, my books were showing but now checking my spotlight it indicates I have no books published, and on my projects page half the covers aren't showing while things that had been approved are now pending.
So much for new and approved.

When I do actually manage to log on, no spotlight and no cover photos of my books. sent yet another query to the admins.
