My titles have all been migrated to the Bookstore, but the prices are different. Two questions: 1)Does anyone know what formula/algorithm Lulu is using to determine these new prices? 2) If a title shows up in the bookstore with these new prices, can a customer purchase it... or do I have to somehow approve or sign off? (I am very wary of the My Projects platform at this point... ) Any help appreciated.

Try to purchase your own print book while not signed in, as a guest If you can do it, anybody can No signing off on the author's end required.

Maggie... I can't get to the page in the Bookstore unless I'm signed in... So I guess that means I have to revise the book, price included in order to make it available? It's a print book and that means I would have to purchase the copy to approve. I have about 100 print books. It's not in the budget for me to buy all of them just because Lulu changed the price on me. I don't know what to do. I have an international launch of a play this Saturday. No sales?

Everyone is leaving Lulu.com. So sad I really love that place. I just found one of my kindles totally missing off of Amazon. One that sells. Got another resolved email back. It really seems that they don't care at all. No personal email responses. No apologies. No offer to compensate for financial losses. They keep saying, you're fine just keep publishing. Can't be done. Too many bugs. Cover creator is crap. I have two books still missing ISBN's and I tried to revise them. Now it's asking me to get a new ISBN and these are already published. One in distribution. What the hell happened? carolyn Lulu did say something about prices. That everyone needed to go in and check them. But it's screwed up. You basically have to revise the book to get to the pricing part. Before you clicked on edit at the financial part. Not sure who's great idea this was but they messed up bad. And lulu is getting sued and taken to court by people plus losing their devoted customers.

Don't revise anything yet. Look on Amazon to see if the price has changed. It might have changed only at lulu and might be temporary. Sit still and watch. If price goes up dramatically at Amazon then you have to be concerned. I doubt lulu will send millions of new prices to Amazon to revise. They will completely stop doing business with lulu if this is the case.

Post the link here and what price it should be. Perhaps others can try to add it in their cart and tell you the price.

I noticed the price of two of my books was cut in half at Amazon yesterday. I don't know if that was Lulu or Amazon behind that. I'm sure it will change back again though. I've seen my book prices vary there once or twice before.

I've seen my book prices vary there once or twice before. Amazon gives discounts randomly. They absorb the loss and make up the money in other ways. Great marketing strategy.

Ah! I like it. I think I've seen Barnes & Noble do the same thing but not such a deep discount.

They've certainly taken their share of my wallet over the years.

I just got this from Lulu "Dear Lulu Author, Last week, we emailed you about a pricing change we unintentionally applied to some existing projects that take part in our Global Distribution service. At that time, we reported that we rolled this change back. Despite what we thought was a successful fix, many of you are still seeing an increased price. From everyone here at Lulu, we’re very sorry. We are working on rolling back the increase now and will continue to keep you updated. If you have any additional questions, please contact our support team for individual assistance.

Interesting that Lulu Press sends out email when it wants but not when it needs to.

My prices have changed daily. Different in My Projects compared to some seen via a search on Lulu's front page. Some have even gone down to being free, even when they're 600 page books, and then the next day they're a different price, and the next day something else entirely, so it's just a case of waiting for everything to simmer down. I'm not starting anything, or revising anything, because there's no point.
