I have been trashing KDP distribution, wondering why I haven't been making sales there, for years. And just this week I was looking at other people's colouring books and thinking; I haven't been selling because my books aren't good enough, look at other people's books--they're better. And I felt crushed, though I truly did my best at the time. I was feeling unwell in 2016 and all I could make were colouring books. Well, the Lord is great. I logged into KDP this morning and had the shock of my life.
All that to say, I should stop trashing KDP, and there is a season for everything. One book might not be desired now, but it might be all the rage tomorrow. So, keep publishing, and spread your eggs in many baskets. Good Lord, I am so truly deeply grateful. I was miserable, thinking I made ugly books, and the Lord just told me, they're ok.
And there's nothing wrong with KDP distribution. It works just fine.
