Finally my patience has run out. Lulu have made it impossible for me to publish my book. I can't even just print it. I have checked and rechecked my cover (Both options offered) and Lulu rejects them. I will have to go elsewhere. Does anyone know of a similar company to Lulu but in the UK? Also has anyone tried "sweek" a POD company where you can publish your books?

Larika, this sounds like an enervated outcry. Don't rush things. Looking around can't hurt. I know of several providers in the UK, but you pay a lot of money to publish there. Sweez is Dutch. I am convinced that you can publish again in June. I also know that you get support here. But please, keep your hair on.

All the others will either require money or a whole new learning curve, which might take years to flatten. Best to keep the devil you know.

Lady Elizabeth,
You could try KDP through Amazon UK [since Amazon absorbed Create Space and is doing print versions through KDP now]. A quick look at their Cover Creator shows some similarities to the old Lulu Press Cover Creator, and as long as the book size format is the same the requirements for the interior file PDF are equivalent to what you're accustomed to using.
I was looking things over since I will be taking my print needs elsewhere due to the splendiferous job Lulu Press has done with its recent still ongoing upgrade.
That said, there will be a learning curve because there always is. While I'm not buying Paul's schtick about the vast majority of end-users experiencing no problems, as Herr Benziger and Miss Maggie have pointed out Lulu Press is supposed to be functional at some point this month.
I understand your frustration, what was supposed to be a weekend upgrade still ongoing into a sixth week is enough to get on anyone's nerves especially when someone has work to do.

Anyone know why it's taking so long for our books to go to Amazon? I have one published 4/11 and it's only on Apple and Barnes. Nowhere else. The other book was published 4/22 and is only on Apple and nowhere else. This used to take two weeks to hit Amazon. I could be making money which I really need. Lulu said it's been pushed into distro but I can't figure out what's making it so slow.

I don't think anyone really knows anything about what is going on at Lulu the past six weeks. I think not even Lulu does. If they did, they would be more communicative. I would hope.
More patience I guess.

Thank you all, I'll wait until end of June benziger, but meanwhile I'll look around. It did take me a long time to learn Lulu, as like many oldies I wasn't that good on the computer but I got help in the old forum and finally managed it. I persisted here too with encouragement from winteriscoming and finally made a PDF cover of the right size, but it was rejected, then I tried the front cover in the wizard, they wanted a jpg and I did that. It gave me a cover but there was a wide black line under it even though I had made sure the cover was the right size, that is why I got so frustrated and on top of that all the tax problems I had----sigh, ah well it's good to vent. Thanks again you kind people.

Are there some coments, why it was rejected? Or just rejected?
A comment on facebook I liked (will probabely be deleted on Friday): Alan Hayes: I'm not asking them to revert to the old site, but to give the same functionality / tools. As for moving to some other place, I have had good experiences with Lulu since 2011 until the last six weeks. I would rather continue to use Lulu than to try to republish my books elsewhere which would involve a significant cost that I can't afford as well as problems with ISBNs and duplicate versions that I'd much rather not have to face.

I agree. While there are some new features I like, they got rid of some I'd prefer they kept. There are no longer links to the spotlight, or to create or delete it. What if we don't want one? Of course the delete/retire option. Contacting support is useless and no one wants to wait weeks to get something done when they can do it themselves in five seconds. And still no way to add text in the about author section, it looks like you know what. None of my book reviews have shown up either. It was my site I'd hiding under a rock right now after boasting about what a great update it was going to be. The only two features I see that were added are the search project feature, and added categories. While many features we "needed" and wanted are totally gone. I loved Lulu but they are slowly losing me. If I had money to move my books I would but I need money for bills and lulu is keeping me from that.
