Day forty-two. What will it bring? A functional system or more frustrating? The clicking of mouses and tapping of keys And users complaining, "Will you help me please?" A sigh and a gasp, "Six week have gone past!" Will this day bring to us some relief at last?

The update is taking some time, we can see... Perhaps it's because it is going smoothly? A bundle of data pushed through a small hose... Oh, wait! I'll just bet the migration has froze! But when the clock whistles and IT has left The system will function and authors bereft Of progress in projects for six weeks and more Will rejoice for all that was lost is restored! Yes? OK, I'd better get something accomplished today before the sun gets too hot.

Visualize the IT manager in charge of migrating data for another company's ill-planned upgrade:
He eyes the bottle of vodka before him cause it's easy to see it's time to flee as an upgrade from hell be a C.V. entry akin to sputum.

The clock in the east says it's now half-past two. No change on the site. Oh dear! Are we still screwed? "Patience!" says I, "There are megabytes more." (But will it fix links that are broken galore?)
A search for a book in the store by its title Brings not a thing. All the projects are idle. Perhaps in a week or a month or a year All the problems will solve (if poor Lulu's still here).
Aye, we be a faithless lot, eh, Mateys? Arrrrrr...

Rather than faithless I prefer to think of it as realistic.
Anyone who has ever had to lead people understands that once you've lost the trust of those you're in charge of it's extremely difficult to regain it.
Similarly, a business that loses the faith of those who help keep it in business find regaining that faith won't be easy.
Only a fool destroys the trust or faith their position relies upon.

The clock in the east says it's quarter past four. It's Friday with folks slipping out the back door. There's sunshine and beer. There are steaks for the grill, The workweek is over and it's time to chill. But what of the site? Is the sales data there? Are projects completed and folks made aware? A look at accounts simply shows a fat zero. Lulu is losing their status as Hero.

The clock in the east says it's just about five. The site is the same. Was it bullshit and jive That caused us to think there would be some great change? It's day forty-two. This is all very strange.
It seems that poor Lulu has taken a hit. They hired the wrong people to accomplish it. They've left their good people, deserted their friends. I guess I'll go purchase some ISBN's...

Forgot. You have five children you'd like to see survive (or however many books you have.)

If you actually believed Lulu Press would resolve all the new platform's issues by close of business today, oh well. But Lulu Press has taken on the task of being an arbiter of basic human decency, which is ludicrous because "basic human decency" can vary wildly between cultures and religions. Since people have been known to report people they didn't like to the authorities simply because they didn't like them, it's hard not to see Lulu Press being used for retaliation. Have a wonderful weekend waiting for resolution to remaining Lulu Press website issues if you're still holding your breath, since according to the update they've taken care of all the major schtuff. The below is today's update from Lulu Press' Facepain page ******************************************* June 5th Update As a follow up to our recent current affairs post, please know that in the coming weeks we will be exploring ways to expand our proactive measures to prevent hateful content from being published or sold on our platform and reinforcing the ability for users to report this content to us. For now, users can still report content that they believe violates basic human decency by submitting a request for content review on our Contact page: help.lulu.com/s/contactsupportDon’t worry, our staff has the capacity to work on resolving our remaining website issues AND care about and support the Black Lives Matter movement. If you are still experiencing any of the following issues, please use the form below for quick resolution: - missing or incorrect cover thumbnails - missing projects - unable to download files - unable to Add to Cart - previously approved projects incorrectly requiring proof purchase Form link: bit.ly/3cPVDSsPlease note that this form does not connect to our support team, only fast-tracks resolution for these specific issues - you will not receive a response for this form. Our developers receive the form submissions daily and run the fixes on an ongoing basis. If you need to speak to a member of our support team, please submit a ticket at the link shared below. At this time all creator revenue that has accrued since the April 25th site update is reported accurately in your accounts. All revenue payments are being paid out on time and in full. Historic revenue from prior to April 25th is stored in our database but is not yet visible in user accounts. It is important to us that we are able to display this revenue in your accounts, and we will continue to carefully test our solution to this problem until we can report with absolute certainty that all data is available. Please note that any remaining issues not listed above are on a case-by-case basis. If you are still experiencing any problems, please report that issue through our email case submission form at this link: help.lulu.com/s/contactsupport.

Uh..No it's still not showing revenue. Still no report. And one question just who decides what's offensive? If an atheist doesn't like your Christian book will it get taken down? Or if a Christian for some reason doesn't like your Erotic Novel, is it going to be taken down? Thinking Lulu is opening a can of worms with the latest update. As far as updates there is none on my end. Still no answer to my misprinted proof, no refund, still no fix to the book they retired that I didn't want retired, still no revenue report. I could go on but it's pointless. And apparently we now have to walk on pins and needles about what we publish so no one's offended. Lulu needs to leave their political views to themselves and stop forcing it on other people. Stick to being a publishing company. Waiting till they fix the retire option then I'm leaving. Really fed up Lulu.

Really fed up Lulu. From what I've seen if you gear your writing toward not offending anyone ever, nobody will want to read it.
Trust me, I've had people offer to burn a cross on my lawn before talking about what a good idea it would be to hunt down my oldest child in order to castrate him before putting him to work in some deserving white person's field [because someone considered my ex-wife to be black due to her ancestry (Portuguese) and my only son at the time to be the product of miscegenation, a major sin].
I write what I write and I expect some people to not like what I'm saying, pero es la vida.

I agree Sphinx. I think Lulu might regret their decision on this. If you're truly open as they say then everyone should be able to write what they want. If you don't want to read it, don't buy it. There are a lot of hateful people out that just out of spite would have your books taken down. That's what I see happening. Anyone can be offended by just about anything. I think Lulu is overstepping their bounds. They've already lost a lot of people. I think they will lose even more eventually. Sad I really liked this company. May be time for me to leave too. If I didn't need money so bad for rent etc. I'd go upload blank interiors and in all my books and take them elsewhere. Any new books will be published elsewhere. Looking for any revenue report still nothing. Another broken promise Lulu, hurry up and wait. Sigh..
