My book is still retired that is supposed to be on Amazon. Going two and half months they are still not on Apple or Amazon. All I can do now is Joker laugh....Im going crazy.

I share your pain
I have a new book out that I publicised like crazy.
What has happened to LULU makes me incredibly angry. Surely somebody has started legal proceedings against them and I say "good luck" to them.

Surely somebody has started legal proceedings against them and I say "good luck" to them. Well, since your income stream is also being negatively impacted you should start legal proceedings, which I believe would be in North Carolina Small Claims Court unless you're seeking damages for over US$10,000. As an added bonus you'd get to visit North Carolina.

If I lived in the USA and made a lot of money from my books, I would undoubtedly take this path. However, I live in the UK and my best ever monthly sales were around £200 - but it still adds up and makes me livid

However, I live in the UK and my best ever monthly sales were around £200 - but it still adds up and makes me livid Guess what, a lot of people who live in the U.S. who are also being affected can't afford to travel to North Carolina and stay there long enough for an appearance in Small Claims Court. The reason most of the people in this country who are being affected aren't taking legal action is doing so would be cost prohibitive.
It's nice in theory but impractical in reality.

Yes - and obviously made worse by the lockdown situation.
None of us can do anything - all the lifelines have been closed, such as calls to Lulu (I bet you cannot call); live chat; email; support ticket (very long wait). We are all powerless as the weeks drag on. Even Paul from Lulu doesn't appear here any more - but who can blame him?
It's a shameful situation.

We are all powerless as the weeks drag on. Even Paul from Lulu doesn't appear here any more - but who can blame him? It's a shameful situation. Other than wearing a face mask to the store and not taking at least one of my kids along for the trip, my daily hasn't really been changed by "the lockdown situation", other than certain shortages at times.
As for feeling helpless, powerless to effect change, or unable to do anything, I have no reason to call Lulu Press nor any desire to do so. Getting certain projects retired or deleted will happen when it happens, whether it's tomorrow or two months from now. I have a support ticket in, and I can wait.
Since Paul from Lulu Press isn't on the technical side of things and his appearances on the fora here haven't been particularly helpful to getting anything done any faster, why would his appearance at this point in time be relevant or even warranted?
While the situation vis a vis is far from ideal, I do keep in mind that I'm still above the daisies rather than being underneath them. The latter of which is a condition many of the people I used to know are in, as in taking a dirt nap, deceased, kaput, defunct, and etceteras.
As someone once told me: "When I start stressing the small stuff I find vodka helps." If you're into music, perhaps listening to something spiritual and soothing will help.

Yeah - I appreciate your sense of perspective.
I know Paul has no obligation to come on here, but is obviously in the loop about what is happening in general in Lulu and he could have dropped in here to provide some reassurance (but perhaps there is little or none to offer).
People react to things in different ways. I'm don't write the books primarily for the money, but I invested four hours a night writing the longest book I have ever written (170k words) for many months. And I really find it frustrating not to know how it is performing.
I even did an interview about it the other day and I had to tell the interviewer that I'm in the dark about sales, other than direct sales.
Those who make a lot of money out of their books and rely on this income will be feeling it a lot more than me.

Those who make a lot of money out of their books and rely on this income will be feeling it a lot more than me. Mr Allan,
My perspective is the result of having to deal with a lot of schtuff in life that was far out of my personal control, over the last sixty-odd years. Child miscarried and dead, been there. Grandchild miscarried and dead, done it. Parents dead and planted, got the obituaries and a suit I only wear to funerals now. There's a lot more, but suffice it to say I used to be extremely earnest and resolute but even I learned how to step back from frustration three enzymes short of a massive heart attack.
I don't write for the money either. One reason I write is to leave certain lessons behind for those who will inevitably replace me. Another reason I write is because I'd like to see people broaden their definition of what it means to be human, by providing an entertaining story that isn't seen as a bludgeon. To me it's important how well the tale is crafted regardless of the intended audience.
I also get that a writer who invests a lot of time and in a sense a part of themselves into their writing is going to want the work to do well, and as a result it's understandable they'll want to know how well the work is doing at any given point in time.
Paul, basically someone in the advertising field, whose presence on the fora at times was to let us know we're not officially sanctioned by Lulu Press, was basically meant as a strategy to put people here in their place. If it wasn't, do you really think he would have been logging in at work to make comments?
Stressing over the botched upgrade situation until an aneurysm pops isn't going to change anything for the better.

thanks for your response.
You're right not to stress and see things in their true perspective.
I'll try to take a leaf from your book. Another approach is simply to be pragmatic and make steps towards using another POD publisher, which I should have done, but it's just a combination of laziness and over-familiarity with Lulu that is holding me back.

calls to Lulu (I bet you cannot call.
You can call them adrianallan (00 1-844-212-0689 (England to North Carolina) but all you get is a recording saying they are working to get things right. I searched for live chat and couldn't find it. I guess because so many of us are complaining they can't keep up with it. However I have tried out a few places and I must admit none of those I've tried compare with the old Lulu.
