Like everyone I am worried about the future of Lulu. And I am reluctant to go with KDP and limit my sales to Amazon. Has anyone tried Blurb, or have any feedback about it? I know it used to be focused on photo books, but it looks like they do Trade Books too.

I`d be interested in feedback on Blurb as well, they look very interesting, looks very user friendly at first glance.

Thats a shame, the costs for a book looked comparable to Lulu, where does the high cost come in ? And can you expand on the annoyance and cumbersome aspects ?

Unfortunately I can only remember generalities. But you have nothing to lose to try one book there.

I took Blurb into the closer selection, but then published the last three books with Maggie's coupon code* at IngramSpark for free. What for?
Blurb - costs extra to remove the Blurb logo - the price page does not show it to me (only white) - They distribute with Ingram, so I can go directly to Ingram.
IngramSpark - free ISBN (I do not need it) - was super easy - similar to Lulu - no setup costs with coupon code (so I publish my books when the next code is available) - very broad distribution network - simple cover design (at the end you can download a template for your project; opened in Gimp; cover created in a new layer above; saved and uploaded)
*INGRAMSPARK2020 (until end of June, new coupon in autumn)
