Just a thought …
Approve does not appear until you have ordered a Proof.

Did you scroll all the way down the cover page? The preview is WAY down at the bottom. The preview is a broken image and a line saying it can't be previewed. Just a thought … Approve does not appear until you have ordered a Proof. I have ordered like, six proofs over the past five months and spent something like 70 dollars on them waiting for this link to show up. At this point, I honestly think something has to be broken.

Alright, I have followed all the advice on here and I still don't see an "Approve Proof Copy" link anywhere on the My Projects page.
I have at least been allowed to see previews though, and even adjusted a few formatting things as a result. I uploaded totally new PDFs of the interior and the cover. The entire thing is brand new... I've bought two more proof copies... I still don't see a link to approve it.
I don't know what else I can do.

I'm sorry, Mark. I wish I could help. The site worked for me last week or the week before. You need to try to get a hold of someone at Lulu. Good luck with that.

It is a puzzle, but does Approve also not only appear if your book has an ISBN? If it has not then it does not need to be Approved for Globule Dist does it? I forget.

After uploading the book, it said "This is taking longer than expected. Check back later." When I came back a couple hours later, I went to My Projects, where it showed the book with a banner that said something like (from memory): "Order a proof copy to proceed with distribution". I thought about clicking on "add to shopping cart", but I wasn't sure if that would be the same as ordering a proof copy, so I decided to click on the title of the book in My Projects, and then click on the Review tab, and then scroll down to where it had a button for "Order a Proof Copy". I clicked on that, and ordered the book, but when I checked My Projects again, nothing had changed. However, by the next day, the proof purchase showed up in My Sales and Revenue (as a 0 revenue sale), and then when I checked My Projects, the banner had changed to "Approve the Proof to proceed with distribution", and there's a button on the right margin saying "Approve the Proof". So, once it gets here and looks okay, I suppose I can click that button and be on my way.

That's right, if the book isn't set up for global distribution, and will only be for sale on lulu, it doesn't need any proof copy or approval. Once you've uploaded the book, you're all set.

That's not my recollection from the old Lulu platform. Although most books I've written or edited have had ISBNs, there were a couple that didn't. But still, when I went to publish them (on the old Lulu platform), I still had to purchase a proof copy first.

And yes, I do click on the "Order Proof Copy" button at the bottom of the page. I am wasting my money now.

Fill in the form,, including the project number. Copy just the text from above, maybe with some more details...
You will get an answer within seconds: ticket closed. Answer to this mail, insist that they re-open the ticket.
If there is no answer, write to this address with the ticket number after one week, just to ask, until when you may except an answer...
I think, this way, there will be a solution in August.

Yeeeaaah... I've already contacted them four times like that. No answer yet. I appreciate the help though. Thanks to this forum, I at least know I'm not doing something wrong or just overlooking where the button is. Something is seriously broken and I don't think there's anything I can do about it.

This is all very mysterious. I have not published anything on Lulu for some time, and currently have nothing to publish, and no reason to Revise anything, so I cannot test out the new system myself. But is there no one reading this thread who has used the new system? With an ISBN, and without one even? It's a damn shame no one from Lulu staff bother to read this forum, and reply, even in their own time.
I do seem to recall that when Lulu obtained some other site it was just for creation and printing. No ISBNs and no Distribution. So no Approve. You bought a copy and if you liked it you just bought more and handled Dist yourself. Lulu talked about either merging the software, or totally porting it across to Lulu.com. That would mean adjusting it to allow for ISBNs, to be able to order a Proof (by that name) and if you were happy with it the ability to click Approve. It does appear that this modification has not worked or not been done.

Okay... I did the very last thing I possibly could do and decided to just "Retire" my project and start a new project from the ground up completely... using a Lulu ISBN (instead of the one I OWN) and a bad Lulu cover from their bad new templates (instead of the one I had)... AND... It finally worked. My project is finally outlined in orange! But... now it sucks.
