I am trying to set up global distribution. I have bought my proof copy and I have reviewed it. Now I just want to "approve the proof" copy. I have looked everywhere. I have read all the tutorials a hundred times over. I have ordered several proof copies at this point thinking an "Approve Proof Copy" might magically appear somewhere. I have sat on it and waited for months. I have even emailed Customer Support twice over just asking this basic question... Where is the "Approve Proof Copy" link in "My Projects"?
My project is still listed as "Distribution Review Pending." Can anyone answer... how I approve my proof copy?
I would appreciate an answer to this profound mystery.

If I remember correctly, there should be a rectangular button on the far right side of the project labeled APPROVE PROOF COPY, just below the ADD TO CART, REVISE, and RETIRE buttons. Just click it. Done.

Done. Oh boy. What if that isn't there? No "Approve Proof Copy" ... just everything else. I definitely have it set to globale distribution and it's crazy because I've bought about 5 proof copies by this point.

Just a thought. Is your web browser zoomed in at more than 100%? I've found at least one web page on Lulu where the right-hand side of the screen gradually disappears the more one zooms in.

If your project is truly awaiting an approval, it will be framed in orange (Caveat: once again, I'm relying on week-old visual memory). A short time after you approve it the frame will turn green.

It's purple, saying "Distribution Review Pending" ... and it's been like that for months. I've never seen a link saying "Approve Proof Copy" no matter how many I've bought.
I'm beginning to think I need to just start over. This project was almost set to be approved back before the overhaul.. all I needed to do was wait for the 1st proof copy I bought to come in the mail. On the old dashboard, there WAS a link for me to approve it. Lo and behold, the copy comes in, and I log in to click that link, and the entire website is completely overhauled and the link is nowhere to be found (along with a host of other alterations)... so I had to make new revisions. Now the thing is how I want it. I bought a proof copy, and another, and another... still no trace of an Approve button... and I don't know what to do.

AHA! That's EXACTLY what happened to me! I was waiting to approve proofs on two books when the site got ruined.
Numerous "help tickets" to Lulu went unanswered so finally, after nearly three months, I just clicked the REVISE buttons on the two books and went through the whole process of re-uploading interior and exterior files, buying proofs, and Bingo! Success! It was about $30 extra I shouldn't have had to spend but that's recouped by putting the extra copies in inventory.
Just REVISE and upload it all again on the new site. It will work fine for you.
Yes, it was very disappointing to be left in limbo that long with zero communication from Lulu, only to have to re-do the project, but it worked out very well in the end. I have high confidence in the new system going forward.

I have revised and reuploaded the documents again but I didn't redesign the cover... so maybe I need to reupload the cover. I've spent at least 70 bucks now on proof copies of this thing dangit.

I couldn't trust any of the files Lulu had on-site because they had mixed newer interiors with old covers on the two projects, so I just re-uploaded both interiors and covers and went through all the categories and pricing stuff. My thought was to flush the old files away. It worked.

I didn't Retire, I just Revised. I kept the old ISBN's. I just re-sized the covers and uploaded them and the fresh interior files. All was well.

When you buy the proof copy, where the buttons are that say retire or revise etc, there should now be an approve button. That appeared when I bought my proof.

Did it not used to say Continue with distribution or something?

Okay, I have reuploaded my cover image and used their new form to "create a cover" supposedly from scratch. They will not let me see a preview of it. I uploaded a new PDF document. I ordered a proof copy.
I STILL don't see a link for "Approve Proof Copy" under "Revise" and "Retire."
I don't really understand how the new cover designer works. I'm one of those who always used a template cover.

Did you scroll all the way down the cover page? The preview is WAY down at the bottom.
