Seems this forum is becoming like the old Lulu one. Silent. There are three kinds of fora: Those where you never come up with anything to read, let alone answer. Others that are seemingly dead. And those where the activity is at a level where you can read anything interesting without neglecting other duties. I personally prefer the latter. Our main task should be writing and publishing books ;-) This does not mean that I am unhappy about new participants - on the contrary. That is why I also leave traces in the internet wherever possible, which lead here: Here a link, there a hint, ...

1. Absolute Writer Forum - startet around 2010 - still alive - posts in 39 treads this month - 69 150 members 2. Nathan Bransford's Forum - startet in 2009 - still alive - posts in 9 treads this year - unknown number of members 3. John Kremer's Forum - (access blocked by the firewall of my company) 4. SPANnet - quiet old web site with newsletter, etc. but I cannot find any forum 5. Self-Publishing Review - still alive, but forum disapeared 6. Lulu Forum - startet in 2004 - still alive - posts in 18 treads this month (280 this year) - 69 members Let's compare the numbers: twice as many threads (in September) with 1000x more members. I think our forum does not look that bad.

This 'Lulu' forum? That's where that link is to. It was started last year was it not? Or the year before.
Anyhow, perhaps links to here can be posted on all those other sites, but I bet they will be treated as spam. Quite a few of the other forums seem to be part of sites promoting their self-publishing guides and services. Like Luluish, but not removed. One had to wonder why Lulu really did remove it because it was not on Lulu servers, it was a 3rd-party application, a service a bit like this one.
