Has anyone of you tried to have their book turned into an audio book? I have a sitcom, Spiffies and Loonies, that runs over 88 episodes. It does not sell at all. One of my brothers, who likes my books, refused to read the French version ( Fringues et dingues), because for him plays are not meant to be read, but performed! I have no problem reading plays; he has, and I suppose this brother of mine is a good representative of the average reader. So I am now contemplating having Spiffies and Loonies sell as an audiobook. The problem with my sitcom is the large number of characters. Apart from the four lead ones, and about as many secondary ones, there is a bevy of minor characters who only intervene in a single episode or a couple of episodes. This is an opportunity for many promising or experienced secondary-character actors and actresses to perform, as, for instance in the famous Colombo series. I noticed that audiobooks are read by a single person. This won't do for a play. Have you heard of a company that records plays and sell them as audiobooks? Attachments:
