Those are bugs? That is you? Yep, and nope. Bugs build these (called magnetic termite mounds - they are north-south aligned so the smart creatures can take advantage of the sun-shade aspect for air-conditioning their city), and it could be me (would have been about 40 years ago), alas, sigh, no, this time it is not me - just a tourist modelling ... I'm sure you're still beautiful.

My last encounter was about two weeks ago, on the toilet without my glasses on. Little scorpion popped me on my left ring finger when I went to brush it off my leg.
Not as bad as a spider bite years ago, but unpleasant enough.
Those things are just horrible. There are bugs everywhere here.

That was an incredible termite city tasmanianartist. They have so many temites in the region of France that I lived in, but I never saw anything so magnificent.

I remember when we bought our house in France . It was a lovely bungalow, in a small hamlet surrounded by fields. There were only 5 houses there. I was sitting in the living room one day when I looked up to see loads of ants crawling through the window. Another time I got up in the night and stepped on a cockroach. Then of course I got bitten by a spider and our house was invaded by termites. Many insects and other "creepy crawlies" cause bites, diseases and death for humanity and it's understandable that so many people like Maggie dislike them , but as Cameron so eloquently put it, "Homo sapiens is part of the world, no matter how much damage it does as a collective. Without all the creepy crawlies and all the messiness, we couldn't exist." Or as tasmanianartist said, "Creatures great and small, the Lord God made them all."
If I had remained in France and continued to be tormented by these little creatures would I be as concerned as I am now living in a relativeiy bug free area. I hope I would have, but who knows!

That reminds me ... the famous 'redback' ... or even the 'huntsman' ... a couple of inhabitants of the Aussie dunny, or 'long drop'...
I think that is making up Maggie's mind ...

I guessed the picture showed a toilet tasmanianartist, but I had never heard those terms before, so I looked them up on google to be sure. In England the toilet is sometimes called a "khazi" or a "loo."
