Then address your complaint to Benziger. It's not a complaint. It's an opinion. Why bring it up if it's not up for discussion? Why? It makes no sense. Case closed. It is what it is. Whether you term it complaint or opinion, talk to Benziger about it since Benziger is the Admin.
Or since you're a moderator, see if you can locate a control to turn that rule off.
You also might want to go back to the original post to determine who asked the original question, because it wasn't me.

This has become very strange. In the original post all I was asking was the rule. Later I did voice an opinion as did others. My original post was--- "However are the posts of all new members automatically put into quarantine?" I think a discussion about rules is a good thing. Cameron I don't think anyone is saying you made the rule, your only involvement is that you answered the question. Thanks. In my writers group one of our rules is to have as few rules as possible.

I've just had a look at the generic documentation for ProBoards. The subject of this thread should really be "A question for the administrator", not "A question for moderators".
As a moderator, when I click on "Admin" in the menu bar at the top of the home page, I can do various things such as ban unwanted visitors and act on inappropriate posts reported by forum members. But there is nothing about quarantine rules.
As far as I can tell, the quarantine facility is achieved via a plugin called "Post Quarantine". It is apparently visible in the "Admin library", but only to users with a "Group / Rank" rank of "admin".

Someone did recently decide that we needed five moderators - and I appear to have become one of them, although no-one had the courtesy to ask me. For the on-going well-being of this site, I would recommend that there should always be at least two users with full admin rights. Moderators don't have full rights.

Sirram, I didn't ask [nor was I asked] to be a moderator. I will do the job while avoiding being ant more of an asshole than I need to be.
Maggie, I have three small children and a disabled spouse, so I get as in understand being busy. I also do believe Benziger gets having a life as well. Regardless of what others may choose to believe I'm not a microcephalic cretin.
Lady Elizabeth, I understand having as few rules as possible. I also understand there is a minority of the population who will act inappropriately. I don't lock my door or my car because I distrust everyone, I do it because I know there are a few members of society who will eff things up for every one else because they want what they want.
Talk to Benziger or not. However if you lock your doors or car, just remember you're not accusing everyone of being a thief, you're just taking a precaution against those few members of society who will steal.

[b This discussion isn't making anyone feel good or providing knowledge. Let's move on.

I asked for it and am thrilled to be one. Once I am completely healthy I plan to enjoy it more.

I vote for me and Blue with Admin rights if that's an option. We are the two who blatantly asked for it and are happy to be doing it. Two just said they didn't ask for the job, and aacain, I don't know. I am in Europe and BlueandGold in North America.

Actually, Maggie, I never asked to be a moderator or an admin. I simply suggested that there be additional ones. With that said, I'm glad there are more now.

I think the people chosen to be moderators are well-informed, intelligent people. I believe benziger chose these people not only for those reasons but also because they come from different parts of our world and visit the site at different times. That is a good thing. As far as more than one admin, I'll leave that up to the creator of our forum, benziger. Peace we achieve When we do not expect anything From the world, But only give, give and give, Unconditionally What we have and what we are. Sri Chinmoy
Surely that's what happens here. The knowledgeable give of their knowledge, helping those who ask for advice and assistance. All this is given freely and I'm sure received with gratitude.

I'm already an admin on two other websites so would be happy to help, admin-wise, on this one.

I typically check in here circa 0200 GMT and 1300 GMT on weekdays; more often on most weekends.
