I just logged in to look at new posts and realized it's become the lulu-trashing forum. That's probably why they did away with it and likely why they will never post a link on their site.
Is there anything we can do to change that? Maybe increase our chances of collaboration?

Surely it’s up to you Mods to be a little more like Ken used to be! Seriously though you could be a little firmer and stop those threads which continue for too long on the same whinge.

Is there anything we can do to change that? Maybe increase our chances of collaboration? The reality is if people posting here do share their frustration with Lulu Press, it's because Lulu Press has in essence avoided taking responsibility for an upgrade that was sorely lacking. A few extra and temporary discounts don't go far or long in helping people forget when they need to vent some frustration-caused steam. It would also make sense the old Lulu Press fora were done away with because it's next to impossible to control what people are saying when basic honesty is lacking [necessary for a business to keep clientele]. Shortly after the April Lulu Press one-weekend-now-nearly-eight-month-debacle of an ongoing-upgrade, Paul made it clear many times Lulu Press really wants nothing to do with the creator-driven fora. It isn't likely Lulu Press wants to collaborate with what it can't control. The only entity capable of changing the complaints posted by people currently using Lulu Press is Lulu Press.
PS: As a moderator the only thing I'll normally censor is SPAM.

At the current moment I have to agree with Cameron. Lulu is not taking responsibility for their mistake. Offering people discounts hoping to sooth tempers doesn't cut it. People need to make money not spend it. Many are at a crucial time in their lives. I for one use my book money to help pay bills. This is our slow time at work so this money was very important. I was still doing OK at the first update mistake. But at least then all of my books were still listed on all of the sites. Then they disappear from three of the top selling sites. Lulu is not being honest with it's customers. I got one response from support for eight sent in. I was told there was no reason the books should be missing. But if you dig deep enough you'd find the link in the site saying that the removal of Core Source might cause books to not show for a couple of weeks and that the glitch would be fixed soon. It's been almost two months now, still no books showing. That's two months of wages to pay bills not gotten. Someone said here that Lulu was going to send out an email to give everyone a head's up on the situation. That never happened either.
If support at least responded in one or two days it might help mentally a little. But it's been months now and only one response. So I don't know if or when any of my problems will be fixed. Neither does anyone else. I had comment on one of the cheerful videos Lulu had on Youtube.com. Three days later I got a response there had been a glitch in the update and books would be back up on the sites soon. Still not there. So coming here to complain might help some at least vent some of the anger and frustration they are having. Lulu isn't answering. This update disaster couldn't have come at a worse time for many. Not all jobs can be done from home. Those that can't are losing them and the book money is all they have. Lulu no longer stores our files so I've in essence lost many of my books making it impossible for me to move them. My fault for not backing them up elsewhere. I might eventually have to cut my loses and move what I can to KDP. The profit is better, the support answers you, and mistakes are fixed over night if not faster. Trying to stay loyal to Lulu.com but they are making it increasingly difficult. They've already lost many customer and their reputation. Common sense would tell you to be honest and tell your customer what's going on and maybe offer some compensation. I think many come here to vent just hoping to get some answers. It does happen but Lulu Honesty goes a long way..

I find it hard to post anything positive about Lulu when their complete and utter incompetence (which is STILL ongoing) resulted in ZERO sales for me for the entire month of November. It's now December and my books are STILL missing because of them. So I'm glad this forum is here for us to vent and try and get some answers, like JesusNinja said.

I try to remain positive about Lulu, looking toward a brighter future.
But I tend to be a realist.
Vent all you want.
As Sphinx says, the only ones who can reduce the ranting and venting are Lulu. THEY are at the controls.
Their lack of communication with and support for their business partners during this horribly botched site change makes them deserving of all they get.
Yet I remain hopeful.

Same here. Trying to be loyal. Was going to leave a comment but just checked for my missing books, still gone. Too frustrated and depressed to do anything.

I don't think there is any harm in people venting about Lulu over the past few months - it also came at the worst possible time, when people were locked indoors and eager to make progress but could do very little as many aspects of Lulu's platform were in a state of meltdown.
In the future, somebody could do a case-study of this Lulu upgrade for either a business or an ICT course, on the subject of how a badly-planned upgrade almost destroyed a business. Even now I don't think Lulu are out of the woods - the brand and customer confidence has taken such a huge body blow it could take a long time to recover.
