Is anyone having much trouble with this kind of message?
I had uploaded PDFs for two projects, but mistakenly had them set to Private Access. However, they were quickly approved for distribution. When changing them to General Access a few hours later, suddenly the two projects are locked in perpetual "Distribution Review Pending" mode with no justification. I didn't change the files, upload anything new, so why do they have to re-review things again? I'm guessing the many changes this year with the Lulu site have introduced some bugs into the system.

Give it a few hours and see if that changes. Also make sure and check the Global Distribution. There are two places to do that now which fooled me once too. But I think the pending will change at least in a day or two. Yes there are still bugs there unfortunately.

Well, it hasn't changed yet. I'm beginning to think that they expect me to reorder galley-proofs just to re-approve the projects! That seems extreme, and I will likely have to contact Tech Support to see if it's something they can solve at their end.

Yes, if you manage to reach the support, then this is surely the best way.
If you do this via mail / form, don't be surprised if the case is automatically marked as solved and closed. Just answer the mail and write that the case is unsolved. Only then it will be processed.

I don’t understand how they could have been approved for Distribution in Private Access. Surely Private Access by it’s very nature precludes any distribution, it implies that only the account holder can buy the product. So changing it to General Access, assuming that during the creation process you original opted Global, for Global sales necessitates a Distribution Review.
I would suspect an error in the software design to have permitted the original markup.

My book did the same. It showed it was approved for distribution within minutes. I think this though was on Lulu's site. Not Global. I had it set on private accidentally. After clicking the global link it still showed the same. Could not tell the difference.
