Although this is specifically to try and help Maggie I’m sure it will be of interest to most folk here. On the old Lulu it was quite straight forward to find ones Source files. I’m pleased to say that it’s now even easier, here’s the way to do so:
From the Lulu Home page select My Projects Then scroll down to find the required book Then click on the Revise button At the top Menu click Review Now click Source Files
They will be downloaded for you to use.
Finally Back Out of these screens to ensure you don’t falsely create a revision.
See quick and easy.

It's an odd design decision by Lulu that one has to pretend to revise a book in order to get to, and change, what is basically metadata. Our local history society wanted to change the payee (PayPal email address) on a number of titles but the only way to do so was to pretend to revise the book itself.
After reaching the particular screen and making the change, one then nervously backtracks out of revision mode hoping that the silly Lulu platform doesn't create a new revision of the book itself.
I don't think the designers of the new platform thought this through.

Whenever I download the source file in the updated Lulu, I find it is zipped and I can't unzip it on my Chromepad, so I have to go upstairs where I have a programme on my computer that unzips the files.

I have only glanced at it on my Smartphone, not entirely ready to dive in, but I appreciate it.

To unzip files on a Chromebook, you'll need to find the .Zip file using the "Files" app.
