If you could ask a master of Kung Fu any question at all, what would it be? That is the question that came to mind as I sat down one morning for breakfast. Sitting across from me was my teacher of fifteen amazing years. He was a kind, but demanding man with admirable skills honed from over forty years of training. Like most traditional teachers, he was reluctant to answer a lot of questions. He preferred that students get their answers from training as he had. But today was different. “I’m getting older and it’s time to discuss some things you’ve wanted to know,” he said.
But of course some things a Master never shares except with his most prized students. The inner circle or disciples as they are called. Some things are not even shared with them. But today Sifu Li was in a generous mood, willing to share some things about his life, training, and about martial arts. What started out as an early morning conversation between Sifu and student, turned into the following pages of this book. This is the story of my journey from student to Master. It is by his gracious and unselfish love for people and the martial arts that our early morning conversations and classes were allowed to be put down on paper. Utmost respect and thanks to Sifu Li for sharing the “The Tao of Kung Fu.’

I've bought the eBook for myself JesusNinja. I saw how influential my son's Master was in Gary's life. In London he belonged to his Master's inner circle and a group of them went to China with him. My son is very busy in California but he still does Kung Fu and so do my grand child and her cousins. Gary is still hoping to start up a club in American Canyon where he lives.

Thank you Larika! I hope you got the good copy. I revised it and Lulu sent out the wrong revision. I've written them about it and of course no reply about. And I no longer have an option to delete anything. I don't understand. Why show a list of versions when you'd only want the latest one?

JesusNinja I learned so much from your book, It was very interesting. At the end of the book I gave you 5 stars. You did such a good job. I never met my son's Master but I know he was a Buddhist, and I read in your book how Sifu Li converted to Christianity. I was in complete amazement when you told us some of the incredible things your Master could do. Also it was fascinating to read about the spiritual world and the journey you took to became a Master also. I think you made an excellent book JesusNinja. WELL DONE.

I just saw the paperback listed on Amazon U.S. I'm officially somebody now LOL Thank you for the wonderful review. I was worried some might not like. I asked my teacher long ago if I could write about some of the things we learned and shared together. He said that was fine but names and places needed to be changed and not to be too descriptive in teaching some things. Just the way it is. But the things in the book did happen. Saw it all with my own eyes. So it's all true, just the names are changed. I really want to do a part 2 or expanded edition later on and add more to the story. You've got me fired up to write more!
Edit: I just read the review on Amazon UK, I'm so flattered! I have 89 rankings and reviews on my other martial arts book but this one I'm so proud of. I'm very happy with the cover also. Thanks to Ron Miller for the advice and coaching on the front cover. And Maggie's influence on the back cover. We have some great help here. Truly a shame it had to leave the Lulu site where it would have been a great help to others.
