I live in Tornado Alley, so I wrote this song. Sing it in the tune of a very famous holiday song (you know the one). Hope it gives you a laugh!

Another bit of fun.
On Your Feet
You must walk said the doctor, To get back your health. So I walk round the block, But I tread with great stealth. 'Cause people don't like it When round you must go. So I creep round the houses My head hung quite low. But you get to know folk Their habits, their life. What's happened to Kevin, Where is his poor wife? She's left him and now He's acquired a dog. Let's hope he is happy Though he lives in a fog And what about Peter, His cars have both gone. He's down on his luck His son's on the run. "Well Lenny sold drugs," My neighbour informs me And Peter is broke, Lost his job, has no money. And what about Sarah Outside of her place Is a different car Every morn and her face With a smile and a cheer Is seen at the door, As she waves adieu to a new paramour. Then Toby is seen As he slides from house four To Meredith's home She just lives next door. Well Meredith's happy, Her husband's away. While the cat's on the prowl, The mouse will now play. What drama and fun On one tiny street. What use of the telly, Just get on your feet.

Thanks Mag2024. I enjoy writing my simple rhymes. Mind you one of my favourite poets is T.S. Elliot. Oh to be able to write like the great man. I remember at college at one of our concerts I recited "The Journey of the Magi." What a fantastic poem.
