I was just on the site and found this announcement. It might be good news to some of you.
Canva Cover Creator - Beta
Now in Beta, use Lulu’s customized cover templates and Canva’s design library with an embedded creator to make your own cover! Just select the Canva option on the Design step, download the template, open the creator, and start making your cover!
You will find this option on the Design step while publishing a print book.

You download the .PNG Template file Lulu generates then import it into the linked Canva website (after first creating an account) then design your own cover over the template.
But.
According to the Template one of my Royal-sized books (approx. 6x9 inches) is actually double the size it should be.
I don't want a cover that's a foot and half long thank you.

Is it free thro Lulu, or one of those sites where you first have to register a credit card? I don't know, after I saw the error with my Template page size I decided not to go any further.
No idea either what deal Lulu has got going with them but as a standalone company their pricing plans are HERE

I didn't realize that. That is absolute crap. Make the cover wizard on the Lulu site not sending you somewhere else. I'm wondering now if Lulu is getting a commission if someone actually pays for Canva....It just keeps getting deeper and deeper. If I'd known that I wouldn't have posted that notice. Guys you are so much better off learning to make your own one piece if possible. Gimp is a free program many use instead of Photoshop. If you can afford it hire someone here or on Fiver to make one for you. Paying for Canva is ridiculous. And now they charging $4.99 to convert any new ebooks. I may just use Streetlib for any new ebooks. It's still free and covers more area like Lulu used too do. I think Lulu cut out Ingram's Core source to save money.
